Bridget Oliver is the Outdoor Education Assistant Manger at Camp Joy. Before this role, she was an Experiential Educator with Joy for a year. Bridget came to Joy with previous camp experience with the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana and Camp Merrie-Woode in Sapphire, NC. Always a fan of exploring the outdoors, Bridget got her start in professional outdoor recreation through exploring and working at the Outdoor Pursuit Center at Miami University.
Bridget grew up in Lafayette, Indiana before leaving home for school at Miami University. She started studying Interior Design before quickly realizing that her passion truly lied with work that aims to make a difference in children’s lives. Bridget graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education in December of 2013 and a drive to tackle the realm of Outdoor Education. When not pursuing that goal, she enjoys exploring all that nature has to offer including running, biking, rock climbing, hiking and backpacking, getting on and in the water, and just lazing around outside. Her other hobbies include spending time with friends and family, arts and crafts, movies, baking, and day dreaming.
