Introducing Joy Drop

For more than 40 years, Camp Joy has helped leaders and organizations across the tri-state area grow through immersive, experience-based leadership development. Along the way, we have seen what helps teams build trust, navigate change, communicate more effectively, and turn shared experiences into meaningful progress.

Now, we are bringing those lessons to you through Joy Drop.

Joy Drop is a new newsletter featuring practical insights, useful activities, and honest conversations about the challenges leaders and teams are facing today. Drawing from decades of Camp Joy experience and the perspectives of our own leaders, each edition will offer ideas you can carry into your next meeting, conversation, or team experience.

Who is Joy Drop For

Whether you are an executive, team manager, educator, nonprofit professional, or emerging leader, Joy Drop is designed to meet you where you are. It is also for those who may not hold a formal leadership title but still influence, encourage, and help others grow. Wherever leadership shows up in your work, Joy Drop will offer fresh perspectives to help you lead with greater curiosity and intention.

Meet the Voice Behind Joy Drop

Leading this effort is Chelsie, who brings a wealth of hands-on experience to the table. As our lead for strategic growth at Camp Joy, she connects people through programming that brings teams together for leadership development that actually sticks. With 15 years in nonprofit and multidisciplinary work, she has sat at the table with leaders across sectors, nonprofits, businesses, schools, public service, and local government, all working through similar questions about how to lead well.

She holds a master’s degree in Leadership Development, where a graduate research class gave her the chance to dig into leadership strategies across virtual, hybrid, and in person settings, research she still draws on today in the rooms she sits in and the conversations she leads.

Chelsie’s guiding philosophy is simple: she is a catalyst for change. She pushes back on doing things just because that’s how they’ve always been done, believes in staying relevant, and holds onto the idea that you never stop learning, no matter how many years of experience you carry.

Let’s Build Something Meaningful Together.

Great leadership isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about staying curious, open, and intentional. Through Joy Drop, we’re bringing Camp Joy’s hands-on approach right to your inbox.
