The Power of Passion

What if-

 What if we lived in a world where families were emotionally and financially stable, there were no major illnesses and diseases?

 What if all students experienced hands on indoor and outdoor learning every day?

What if organizations were harmonious, trusting, leveraged differences, and worked as a team?

What if…

Perhaps Joy would not need to exist or Joy would exist just to give people a fun time.  The reality is we do not live in this world and our Camp Joy staff has chosen to make it a better world. In choosing to work here they chose to be part of something greater than themselves.  What is the secret- why is it that many staff members choose to work at Camp Joy?  A wise man once said “it is easy to tell the difference between an employee that is good and one that is great, just like you can tell the difference between an organization that is good and one that is great. Those people and organizations are full of a secret ingredient……..PASSION! Camp Joy has been blessed with passionate leaders for 77 years. The original leaders were passionate about giving the youth from the West End a safe happy place away from the devastation of the Great Cincinnati flood and giving them truly a place of JOY.  Just like our original leaders and our leaders of today, I recommend you take a moment to reflect and leverage your own passion.

I am passionate about helping others reach their full potential and discovering the best versions of themselves. It is indeed a journey and I hope that an experience at Joy is the catalyst that allows people to perhaps reexamine their beliefs, attitudes and behaviors. I have witnessed this time and time again and see and feel the power of living a life full of passion.
